FINDING THE DOJANG
We train in the gym at Christ United Methodist Church. Park in the north parking lot behind the building. Enter through the north doors and you’ll see the entrance to the gym as you enter. First class? Arrive about 10 minutes early so we can get you started.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Comfortable athletic clothing — a t-shirt and sweatpants or shorts. No uniform needed for a trial class. We train barefoot, so shoes come off at the edge of the training area.
Not to try a class. Students who enroll will either get a uniform (dobok) as part of their first month or be able to purchase one. No sparring gear is needed until well into training.
Yes, always. We don’t have a closed-door policy — parents are welcome to watch any class, any time. In our Family program, parents don’t watch at all; they train alongside their kids.
Age is the starting point: Tiger Tots is ages 4–6, Kids 7–12, Teens 13–17, and Adults 18+. The Family program takes all ages together and is the best fit if more than one person in the household wants to train. If you’re unsure, call (801) 819-9542 and we’ll talk it through.
Tiger Tots is $89 per month. Individual enrollment is $154 per month. The Family program is $350 per month for the whole household, regardless of how many family members train. The trial class is free and there’s no enrollment contract.
No — most students start with no experience at all. Classes are structured so beginners work at their own level from day one, and every student in the room started where your child is starting.
Wasatch Martial Arts Academy is the only school in Utah certified by the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation and World Moo Duk Kwan. Rank earned here is internationally certified and recognized worldwide — it isn’t issued by our school alone. Classes are taught by Brian Corrales, Sa Bom, a 6th Dan certified master instructor and member of the USA Technical Advisory Committee.
